ANDREW NG / 伍世賢

Andrew Ng is a Grade 11 student at Diocesan Boys’ School, Hong Kong. He began learning the trombone at the age of five and is now studying bass trombone under Zachary Bond.

With the goal of becoming a bass trombone soloist, he has found success in many competitions. Andrew is a finalist in both the International Trombone Festival Solo Competition, George Roberts, and the Southeast Trombone Symposium Youth Competition. He was also the winner of the Tom Lee Music Prize for Brass Concerto Class and Trombone Senior Class in the 73rd and 69th Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals respectively. 

Andrew has also attended masterclasses with the likes of Jacques Mauger, Fabrice Millischer, Tino Nunez, and Mike Szabo. As a devoted and upcoming bass trombonist, he is pursuing a career as a professional bass trombonist in the future.

Andrew自五歲起學習長號,他現隨Zachary Bond學習低音長號。Andrew曾於多項國際比賽中晉身決賽,又在香港校際音樂節的長號高級獨奏組別及銅管協奏曲組別兩度獲勝,並曾隨Jacques Mauger、Fabrice Millischer、Tino Nunez和Mike Szabo等大師學習。Andrew現於拔萃男書院就讀中五,憑着對音樂的熱誠,他希望成為一位專業低音長號獨奏家。
