TREVOR CHAN / 陳騁懷

Trevor Chan is a passionate 17-year-old cellist. He has been playing the cello since the age of five and is currently receiving his musical training from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Junior Music Program under Ms. Karey Ho. Over the years, Trevor has won champions in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, including Cello Junior & Intermediate Classes in 2013 and 2016, Cello Concerto Class in 2019 and Cello Sonata Class in 2021. He was also offered the Grantham Music Award in 2019 and attended Austrian Masterclasses with professors from Universität Mozarteum Salzburg and performed in the Freskensaal of castle Zell an der Pram.

Trevor studies in the Diocesan Boys’ School with a music scholarship and is the current principal cello of the Diocesan Boys’ School Symphony Orchestra, which has performed a wide range of repertoire at the Musikverein in Vienna, the Smetana Hall in Prague, Vigadó Concert Hall in Budapest and many more. 

Trevor aims to pursue his music career overseas upon his high school graduation. He also hopes to perform music alongside musicians from around the world.

Trevor五歲開始學習大提琴,在香港演藝學院青少年音樂課程學習音樂,師承何國芝老師,現時就讀於拔萃男書院,是學校樂團大提琴首席。 

Trevor曾在香港學校音樂節贏取多個獎項,包括二零一九年大提琴協奏曲組別冠軍和二零二一年大提琴奏鳴曲組別冠軍,除多次獲得拔萃男書院頒發音樂獎學金,亦於二零一九年獲頒發葛亮洪音樂獎學金,並前往薩爾斯堡參加音樂大師班。
